Municipal Housing
Municipal Housing is a home for low-income people who have difficulty living.
If you want to move in, we are looking for residents in April and October. (This is called "Regular recruitment.")
In addition, houses that did not apply for regular recruitment will be recruited again from February to June and from August to December. (This is called "always recruitment.")
Recruitment brochures and application forms (Japanese notation) will be distributed as follows during the application period.

In order to move in, there are conditions such as living or working in Yokohama for at least 6 months.

Excellent rental housing
- It is a house where the city and the country subsidize a part of the rent depending on the amount of household income.
- In Yokohama, there are three types of excellent rental housing: Yokohama Ribin, Child Raising Ribuin, and Excellent Rental Housing for the Elderly.
- The applicant and the person who lives together must be registered in the Basic Resident Register.
Foreigners can also apply if they are registered. - There is a review on the amount of income. In addition, there are other conditions.
- When you want to move in, the application destination varies from house to house.

- The characteristics of each house are as described below.
Yoma ribuin
- This is a rental apartment for families.
Raising children
- Rental apartment for households with children under the age of 18 and whose household income is 214,000 yen or less.
- There are hospitals where children can live within 20 minutes on foot.
- There is a child-raising facility within 1 km.
Excellent rental housing for the elderly
- This is a rental apartment for those over 60 years old.
- It is a barrier-free design.
- When a resident falls down due to illness, there is a system to notify organizations that can respond.

Safety Net Housing
- This is a rental housing that accepts people who are having trouble finding a home.
- In some homes, those with lower incomes (household monthly income is 158,000 yen or less. In the case of the child-raising generation, rent etc. will be subsidized for households with monthly income of 214,000 yen or less).
- Those who have not received housing assistance or housing security benefits are eligible.
- You must live or work in Yokohama City.

We support foreign nationals, elderly people, people with disabilities, those with low incomes, and those who are raising children, who are difficult to rent housing.
