Municipal Housing

Municipal Housing is a housing for low-income people who have difficulty living.

If you want to move in, we are looking for residents in April and October. (It is called "Regular recruitment.")

In addition, houses that did not apply for regular recruitment are recruited again from February to June and from August to December. (It is called "constant recruitment.")

Recruitment brochures and application forms (Japanese notation) will be distributed as follows during the application period.

In order to move in, there are conditions such as living or working in Yokohama city for more than 6 months.

Excellent rental housing

  • It is a house where the city and the country subsidize a part of the rent depending on the income of the household.
  • In Yokohama City, there are three types of excellent rental housing: Yokohama Ribuin, Child Care Ribuin, and Excellent Rental Housing for the Elderly.
  • The applicant and the person living together must be registered in the Basic Resident Register.
    If it is registered, foreigners can also apply.
  • There is a review of the amount of income. In addition, there are other conditions.
  • The application destination when you want to move in varies from house to house.

Yokohama Ribuin

  • This is a rental apartment for families.

Child care

  • This is a rental apartment for households with children under the age of 18 and with a monthly income of 214,000 yen or less.
  • There are hospitals where children can be accommodated within 20 minutes on foot.
  • There is a child care facility within 1 km.

Excellent rental housing for the elderly

  • This is a rental apartment for those over 60 years old.
  • It's a barrier-free design.
  • There is a system that reports to institutions that can respond when a resident falls due to illness.

Safety Net Housing

  • This is a rental housing that accepts those who have difficulty finding a home.
  • In some houses, those with lower incomes (household monthly income is 158,000 yen or less. In the case of the child-raising generation, the monthly household income is 214,000 yen or less) and rent is subsidized.
  • It applies to those who have not received housing assistance or housing security benefits.
  • You must live or work in Yokohama City.

Yokohama-shi residence support meeting (support such as house search)

We support foreign nationals, elderly people, people with disabilities, those with low incomes, those who are raising children, and those who are difficult to rent a house.
