About payment of annual management fee of graveyard, ossuary

Annual management fee and payment method

At the Yokohama Municipal Cemetery and Ossuary, we have you pay a management fee once a year as an expense to maintain and maintain various facilities such as grave visits, toilets and planting used by users. (Except those who have paid collectively at the time of use permission, such as funeral burial facilities.)

As we send delivery letter of advice (or fund transfer letter of advice) of management fee for each graveyard, ossuary, please pay by fixed deadline.
(In the case of fund transfer payment, it will be debited from the account of the designated financial institution.)
※The payment deadline (drawal date) is different for delivery notice payment and fund transfer payment.

Payment by delivery notice

Please pay at the counter of the financial institution listed in the "List of Target Financial Institutions" at the bottom of this page.
Mitsuzawa Cemetery, Hino Park Cemetery, and Kuboyama Cemetery can also be paid at the Cemetery Management Office. Please bring your delivery notice.
※Payment cannot be made at the management office of Memorial Green Hino Komorebi Ossuary, a designated management facility.

If you wish to make a new fund transfer

Please apply from the web fund transfer reception service (outside site) or submit a fund transfer request form to the counter of the financial institution.
(If you would like a fund transfer request form, please contact the Environmental Facilities Division. It is also available at each graveyard and ossuary management office. )
In addition, procedures after the end of March will be deducted from the following year.
 Example:
 ①When the procedure was completed on March 31, 2024 → At the end of June 2024 Hibiki Dec.
 ②When the procedure was filed on April 1, 2024 → At the end of June 2025 Hibiki Raku

※Please prepare the following two items at the time of the procedure.

  • Permits, etc. (Documents that show the parcel number)
  • The name of the financial institution, branch name, account number, etc. can be confirmed (deposit bank account, cash card, etc.)

What is the Web Account Transfer Service?

It is a service that allows you to apply for fund transfer related to payment of management fees such as graveyards from the Internet.
[Document preparation or notification stamp is required! You don't have to pay by mail or bring a window!
It is possible to easily set up a transfer account from a specific financial institution.
※This service uses a security-protected external sites provided by Yamato System Development Co., Ltd. and financial institutions.

If you have already applied for direct debit

※From 2024, the shipping date and debit date of the fund transfer letter will be changed.
The bank transfer notice will be sent to you at the beginning of June every year.
Please note that the balance will be debited on the last day of June every year.

If the balance is insufficient or the cancellation of the designated account, you will not be able to withdraw again.
A delivery notice will be sent at a later date, so please pay at the financial institution by the deadline specified.

If your designated account has been canceled, it will be changed to delivery notice payment from the following fiscal year.
If you wish to continue fund transfer, you will need to apply for fund transfer again.

If I return the parcel, do I have to pay the management fee?
A

The starting date on which the management fee is incurred is April 1st.
Therefore, even if the parcel is returned in the middle of the year, a management fee for the relevant year may be incurred.

Is it possible to withdraw from an account in a different name from the user?
A

You can apply for a fund transfer under a name different from the user.
Notification (fund transfer letter of advice) from city is sent to user, but, when we change destination to account holders, offer by document or e-mail is necessary.

I am receiving social security. Is there a reduction in taxes?
A

If you have received social security as of April 1, you can reduce the administrative fee for the relevant fiscal year by applying for a tax exemption. (Excluding Memorial Green and Hino Komorebi Ossuary)
The procedure for reduction of taxes is required every year. For more information, please contact the Environmental Facilities Division. (045-671-2450)

What procedures are required if Address or the destination is changed?
A

You will need to rewrite your license and change the destination.
For more information, please contact the management office of each graveyard or ossuary.

What kind of procedure is required if the user dies?
A

You will need to do so. If you do not complete the procedure, each notification will be sent to the previous user.

What happens if I continue to pay the management fee?
A

If the management fee is not paid for 5 years, please note that it will be subject to cancellation of the use permission by the "Yokohama City Cemetery and Ossuary".
