TypeHousehold incomeGrant rateUpper limit of grant amount

Type 2123,001 yen or more and 214,000 yen or less25%Up to 40,000 yen per month

Total resident burden

The amount obtained by subtracting the subsidy amount from the contract rent is the monthly rent (resident's burden).
※Contract rent refers to housing rents excluding security deposit and utility fee. In addition, security deposit and utility fee are not eligible for the grant, so they will be required separately.
Resident's burden = Contract rent - (contract rent x subsidy rate)

Example of grant amount and resident burden

[Example 1]
If a "Type 1" enters a house with a contract rent of 95,000 yen,
The grant amount is 95,000 yen x 40% = 38,000 yen
The resident burden is 95,000 yen-38,000 yen = 57,000 yen
It will be.

[Example 2]
If a "type 1" enters a house with a contract rent of 110,000 yen,
The grant amount is 110,000 yen x 40% = 44,000 yen ※The grant amount is 40,000 yen because it exceeds 40,000 yen.
The resident burden is 110,000 yen-40,000 yen = 70,000 yen
It will be.

How to calculate the monthly income of a household

The household monthly income is the amount obtained by subtracting various deductions stipulated by the Income Tax Law from the income of all residents.

  • Household monthly income = {Total income of all residents (annual)-Total deductions} / 12

Income ("household's monthly income") can be calculated automatically here. (If you have changed jobs after January 1, last year, please contact us as the calculation method will be different.) (External site)

Income calculation quick reference table

Depending on various cases, there may be differences in the amount of income, etc., so please use the following “Income Calculation Quick Reference Table” as a guide.
Please check the exact amount of money at the counter when applying.

※This is a guide when only one person has income and the deduction is only dependent on relatives. This does not apply if there are two or more people with income and there are deductions other than pensioners and relatives deduction.
※After moving in, a qualification survey will be conducted once a year. Every year around June, you must apply for a rent reduction subsidy for one year from October of that year. As a result, the amount of resident burden for one year is determined.
