Yokohama 3R Poster Contest

Every year, we hold a poster contest for elementary school studenｔ students enrolled in elementary and junior high schools in the city to trigger sorting, 3Rs (three Rs), and beautification of the town.
Prize-winning works will be exhibited for publicity and enlightenment, and will be used for posting on printed materials.

Waste reduction by sorting and 3Rs! A beautiful city.

○Qualifications: Elementary and junior high schools in Yokohama, compulsory education schools, elementary and junior high schools in special needs schools
　　　　　　elementary school studenｔ students enrolled in an international school (equivalent to third grade junior high school)

○Application period: Must arrive from Monday, August 26, 2024 to Wednesday, September 4

○How to apply: After each school, bring or mail it to the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau collection office in the ward where the school is located.
　　　　　　(Please bring your work as much as possible to submit your work in good condition.)

○Standard: Eight slices (approximately 27cm x 38cm) drawing paper or Kent paper　

○Application rules (partial excerpts)
・Entries must be submitted one by one.
・Entries are limited to unpublished original works.
　 Works that imitate the works of others (photos, illustrations, etc. on the Internet, etc.) or works created by AI cannot be submitted.
　 In addition, if this is found, it will not be subject to the examination.
・Specific product names (trademark name), company name, etc. must not be included in the work.　Etc.

Application status in FY2023
There were 2,005 entries from 173 elementary and junior high schools in the city, of which 53 were awarded prizes and 111 were selected as honorable mentions.

Breakdown of application

• Elementary school: 1,563 points (including 417 in lower grades and 1,146 in higher grades)
• Junior High School: 442 points
