Yokohama, People, Town and Design Award

The purpose is to commend activities that have made particularly remarkable achievements in local community development in Yokohama City, as well as buildings that make up the town Nami that contributed to the creation of cityscapes and the conservation.
There are two divisions, "local town development section" and "townscape scenery section", which are implemented every other year.
※Fiscal 2020 was postponed due to the impact of COVID-19.

This is the 11th "Yokohama / People / Town / Design Award".
We are looking for attractive "local town development activities" and "townscape scenery" that becomes individuality of town.
Awards for 7 local town development sections and 4 town landscape sections have been decided.

Citizens take the initiative in their own initiative, ingenuity, and promote community development, commends the group that will be the main body of the activity and the individuals and groups that support the approach.

Approach to realize safe, comfortable and attractive town that citizen plays a leading role is local town development.

• Being a local community development in Yokohama City
• Approx. 3 years of experience of efforts
• In the past.Yokohama Machinami Meritor Award"" or "Yokohama, People, Town and Design Award Town Development Activity Division or Community Development DivisionThose that were awarded under this category are not eligible.

• Activities that lead to improvement of local attractiveness and resolution of issues
• Activities that are proactively engaged with enthusiasm
• Activities in which diverse people participate in and participate in
• Activities that make use of the originality of activities and local resources (people, spaces, etc.)
• Activities that show continuity, development potential and ripple effects

※Selection will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of all of the above viewpoints.

The townscape section commends businesses, designers, constructors, etc. who have contributed to the creation of landscapes that are full of individuality and charm and are attached from the community.

This refers to buildings and structures that feel the history, buildings and plazas that create new bustle, conservation and utilization of the natural environment, places that are familiar and attached to them, and the town of Nami created by combining them.

The following are contributing to the formation of attractive urban landscapes that make use of the individuality of the region.

• Towns, buildings, structures, etc. that were newly built within about 10 years
• Reconstructed buildings, etc.
• In the past.Yokohama Townscape Scenic Award"and"Yokohama, People, Town and Design Award Townscape Scenic DivisionThose that were awarded under this category are not eligible.

• Contributing to the creation of new urban landscapes full of individuality and charm of the region
• Those that contribute to the revitalization of the town and form a bustling cityscape
• It contributes to the historic town of Nami and the conservation of natural scenery
• Contribute to the production of Yokohama.
• Urban landscapes and advanced initiatives such as consideration for the environment and welfare are in harmony.

※The selection will be based on the evaluation of whether it is related to the creation of attractive cityscapes.
