On February 21, 2023, we held a grafting event with elementary school studenｔ, a fifth grader, to connect the cherry blossoms on the Naval Road to the next generation at Kamiseya Elementary School in Yokohama City.

The number of cherry blossoms on the Seya Ward Naval Road (Ring Route 4) is aging every year, with an average of about 20 trees being removed every year in the last 10 years based on the results of every year's diagnosis.
For this reason, from the idea of connecting harmony with nature to the next generation, triggered by the 2027 International Horticultural Expo and a new town development in the former Kami Seya Communication Facility area, cherry blossoms will be firmly regenerated on this occasion. I think it is necessary to do it.
Based on the results of the "round-table conference on the row of cherry trees on the Navy Road", which we have been examining so far, and the "(tentative name) Former Kamiseya Communication Facility Park Basic Plan (draft)" As we gathered as basic plan (plan) for making, we raise opinions of citizen's all of you.
