"Shinji Megumi no Sato" is around Shinji-cho, Midori-ku. Agricultural land is scattered around Shinji Shimin-no-Mori, Shinjiriyama Park, Onda River, and along the Umeda River, which is a tributary of about 70 hectares of greenery spreads. Around the rice fields along the Onda River, in addition to rice, vegetables and cut flowers for direct sales are cultivated. In addition, vegetables (market shipment and direct sales), rice, fruit trees, etc. are produced around Shimin-no-Mori, and exchanges between farmers and local residents is also active.

"Taking local people like local agricultural products will lead to protecting Shinji's fields throughout the region. We want to protect Shinji's Tando scenery together. " From the thoughts of such a farmer, we started "Niharu Nagayamon Morning Market" in 2009. Every Saturday, "Niharu Satoyama Exchange Center / Gathering House" is full of fresh vegetables and smiles from customers.

To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the start of "Shinji Eminosato" activity, a logo mark was created in September 2010 to make it more familiar to the community. It was widely recruited on the website, etc., and was selected by local farmers. The name is "Vegiharu-kun". It was named after the vegettable veggies and Shinji's "Haru". It is a salad bowl character full of vegetables made in Shinji. He is active as the "face of Shinji Megumi no Sato".
