The Kita-Hatsusaku district is an area located about 500m from Kawawacho Station on the Municipal Subway Green Line and about 1 km from the Tomei Expressway Yokohama Aoba Interchange, but is an area with a beautiful green landscape.
About 40ha of farmland spreading along the coast of the Onda River is designated as a Kita Hassaku Agriculture Special Zone, and is engaged in a variety of agriculture, including rice cultivation and fruit trees. In particular, Hamanashi, a specialty product that represents the district, is so popular that you can form a line in front of the joint direct sales shop.
While the farming environment in the district changes significantly due to the maintenance of the Yokohama Ring Northwest Line, efforts such as hands-on paddy fields and direct sales events from April 2018 while exchanging opinions with local residents who want to revitalize agriculture.
