About designation of Nagi Furuki

Trees that have a history, history or history, or are popular as symbolic trees, and trees that are good and have a good growth and excellent tree that meet all of the following conditions are eligible.

1. The age of the tree must be at least 100 years old. (In the case of group designation, the tree must be approximately 100 years old or more, or the history of history in the entire area of the designated areaNeighborhood Association, etc.)
2. Not significantly cross the border with the neighboring land.
3. It is easy for citizens to appreciate.
4. On public land, it must not be a street tree.
5. It must not be an invasive alien species designated by the Ministry of the Environment.

Even if the above conditions are met, it cannot be specified unless one of the following conditions are met.
※It is not this limit when the mayor determines that it is unavoidable due to the surrounding environment of the tree and growth characteristics even if it does not apply.

　　Single designation

1. The circumference of the trunk 1.5 meters high from the ground (hereinafter referred to as "surrounding") must be 1.5 meters or more. However, if the branch is branched at that height, the part immediately before branching, and in the case of standing, 70% of the sum around all trunks must be 1.5 meters or more.
2. The height must be 15 meters or more.
3. Shrubs with a canop diameter of 3 meters or more.
4. It is a climbing tree, with an area of branches and leaves is 30 square meters or more.

　　Group designation

1. It is a certain range of forest zone consisting of multiple trees, and must not be adjacent to the designated forest zone.

Among the trees that can be candidates for the designation of the name Furuki, those that meet all of the following conditions are eligible.

1. The age of the tree must be at least 30 years old.
2. It forms a local landscape, forming a history, history, history in the designated area, or being familiar as a symbolic tree.
3. Recommendations from Neighborhood Association, etc.
4. Not significantly cross the border with the neighboring land.
5. It is easy for citizens to appreciate.
6. As a general rule, it must not be on public land.

If you have any trees suitable for Nagi Furuki, please fill out the application form with required items and reply to the address below.

The deadline for applying for a new designation is June 30 every year (must arrive).
