We held local green town development business "activity report & learning society" targeting at promotion group working on local green town development and citizen who is interested in town development of local green. This time, "Floral Tsunashima" gave a presentation as an example of the Tsunashimanishi district Approximately 20 people participated and visited places where the trees were actually greened and the narcelery where seedlings were grown.

With local green town development, Yokohama-shi carries out approach of green town development including plan making, planting of flowers and tree, maintenance to realize local thought of "we want to make town full of green and flower" It is business to support. It is designed to be easy to work with neighbors and in Residential Association in apartment.
Review the structure of the past (Heisei 21-2023) so that it is easier for citizens to work on it, and from 2024, a new "greening promotion subsidy" was newly established, and an open garden to enliven the area through greening. Subsidies are now available for holding greening events.

All of the following conditions must be met.

1. Being a group of 5 or more, including those who live in the proposed place or the vicinity, those who work, or those who own land or buildings.
   You can also apply in collaboration with the corporation. (It is necessary to form 10 or more formal organizations before the agreement is concluded.) 。
2. Be willing to take the initiative in making the proposals themselves.

※If you have a substantial right to use, such as owning or renting the land or building at the proposed location, please explain the details of the proposal in advance.

All of the following must be met.

1. Maintenance and activities related to greening.
2. There must be public utility that citizens who do not join the group can enjoy.
3. Residents, etc. should take the initiative.
4. Greening maintenance must have a clear location, and can be maintained well after maintenance.
5. The proposal must not include the contents that have received or are going to receive financial assistance from the national government, local governments, or their affiliated organizations or private organizations.

In principle, in the urbanized area in Yokohama City, in principle, private land (however, with the consent of the facility manager of public land and public facilities, including land used partly.)
In addition, district which has already concluded agreement of "local green town development" is not targeted for application during the agreement period.

About grant application

Finally, we will start activities to realize the proposal.

Grants are available for up to the third year.
