"Park and Green Yokohama 150 Years"

In Yokohama, many initiatives related to greenery and parks have been carried out ahead of the whole country.
Greenery and parks have played an important role as one of the elements of the city, in response to social demands and challenges, such as the opening of Yamate Park, the first Western-style park in Japan, positioning farmland as a valuable open space in the city from early on, and implementing measures integrated with parks and other facilities. As a result of these efforts, there are many greenery in familiar places even though it is a big city, such as forests, a place for citizens to relax, farmland that supports local production for local consumption, and greenery and flowers in the town that is attractive to the area. It has led to the charm of Yokohama.
"Park and Midori Yokohama 150 Years" introduces such parks and green steps in Yokohama.
