Yokohama-shi area public transport activation meeting

At the Yokohama City Regional Public Transport Revitalization Council, various actors involved in transportation in Yokohama share the philosophy and goals of transportation policy in order to appropriately respond to changes in the environment surrounding transportation and various transportation needs. After that, we will exchange opinions on the way of various transportation measures, including public transportation, and its direction.
In addition, for realization of sustainable traffic, it is necessary for each subject to promotion of Motoichi traffic measures such as "Yokohama Urban Transportation Plan (developed in March 2008)" under responsibility and division of roles We also exchange opinions on necessary matters.
From 2024, the "Yokohama City Transport Policy Promotion Council" at the time became a statutory council in order to be a place to discuss the creation of a local public transport plan based on the Local Traffic Law, and the "Yokohama City Regional Public Transport Revitalization Council "has been renamed. As of August 2024, it is composed of 21 people, including academics, citizens, transportation companies, and transportation administration.
