About approach of Shimoizumi district

In May 2012, an organization was established in the Shimoizumi district (2-chome to 4-chome Shimoizumi, Izumi-ku) based on the Road and Highway Bureau's "Local Transportation Support Project." For more than one year, local organizations, bus operators, Yokohama City for more than one year, with the aim of expanding operating hours and switching to route buses, local organizations, bus operators, Yokohama City After repeated examinations by the three parties, we have been aiming to operate route buses that circulates between Izumi-Chuo Station, Shimo-Iida Station and Shimo-Iida Station and Shimoizumi areas.

Progress of Initiatives
1999
  • With the extension of Shonandai Station on the municipal Shimotetsu Blue Line, route buses in the Shimoizumi area have been reorganized and reduced flights.
  • Established a regional organization (Shimoizumi District Traffic Control Committee)
  • We discuss bus introduction with shared bus operators, but this was not realized.
