About approach of Aoto Kitahasaku district

Last Updated April 20, 2023

1 Overview of activities in Aoto Kitahasaku area

In June 2008, an organization was established in the Aoto Kitahasakucho district (Aoto-cho, Midori-ku, Kitahassakucho), based on the Road and Highway Bureau Regional Transportation Support Project, to consider appropriate means of transportation for local communities. Over the next six years, regional organizations, bus operators, and Yokohama City have repeatedly examined the matter, aiming to extend the bus route to the nearest station.
Initially, it was requested to extend to Kawawacho Station in line with the opening of the Green Line, but due to the prospect of opening the city planning road Nakayamakita Yamada Line, it was extended to Nakayama Station.
