Life transportation bus route maintenance system

1 Purpose
We issue subsidy to company to maintain bus route (Yokohama-shi life traffic bus route) necessary as life traffic in the city and secure convenience of citizen's everyday life.
2 Outline of the subsidy system
(1) Routes targeted for subsidized projects
Routes that are deemed necessary to maintain routes at the Kanagawa Prefectural Life and Transportation Security Measures Regional Council, and that meet the requirements for subsidized projects on routes designated by the mayor.

(2) Requirements for subsidized projects
The number of transport personnel (passengers) per kilometer of actual bus runs is approximately 5 or more, and falls under any of the following.
- Routes that occur within 1 km from the station and 300 m from other bus stops due to abolition.
- A route where the population achieved within 15 minutes to the nearest station will decrease.
- Routes where access is significantly reduced, such as the method of moving to stations and ward offices through outside the city limits due to abolition.
15 minutes to the station concept
- The time required from your home to the nearest station.
- Commuting hours on weekdays (approximately 7-8:00 am)
- Transportation is on foot and by bus, and motorcycles and automobiles are excluded.
- We do not consider waiting time at the bus stop.
- Excludes areas that are not assumed to be future residential areas such as golf courses, large-scale green spaces, U.S. military requisition sites, and wharfs.
- The new transportation system will not be accessible by bus.
(3) Subsidized project target
It was decided by public offering from among bus operators stipulated in the Road Transportation Act.
(4) Subsidized project period
In principle, assistance is provided every three years, and operation methods are reviewed every three years.
(5) Method of calculating the subsidy amount
Subsidize the loss of ordinary income (fare income, etc.) for ordinary expenses (operating expenses, etc.).
