What's New
Overview
The Yokohama Architecture and Development Dispute Mediation Committee is an affiliated organization of the mayor, consisting of academic experts in architecture, urban planning, law orconservation.
The mayor will refer the mediation to the mediation committee if both parties have requested mediation for mediation.
Following the referral of the mayor, the mediation subcommittee consisting of three or more mediation committee members will listen to the circumstances of both parties from a professional and fair standpoint, and presents a mediation plan as necessary. However, this mediation is not as enforceable as a trial.
In addition, since the dispute is a civil case and there are many issues related to personal privacy, the mediation procedure conducted by the Mediation Subcommittee is closed.
