PFI project for improved soil plant

Regarding the improved soil plant business that makes effective use of incinerated ash of sewage sludge, we will expand existing facilities to expand the effective use.
We carry out design, construction of this facility expansion and maintenance and operation of the entire improved soil plant as a project based on the "Law Concerning the Promotion of Maintenance of Public Facilities by Utilizing Private Funds" (PFI Law).
Improved soil is soil obtained by mixing about 10% of incinerated ash with soil excavated during sewerage work, etc., and made it into high-quality backfill material.
The incinerated ash of sewage sludge contains a lot of lime that makes the soil high quality, and also has the effect of absorbing soil moisture in the soil. Focusing on the properties of this incinerated ash, we are currently installing an improved soil plant on the premises of Hokubu No.2 Wastewater Treatment Plant.
By making effective use of incinerated ash that has been disposed of in landfills, the improved soil plant is playing an important role in extending the life of landfill sites and creating a recycling-oriented society.
