Overview of Invasive Organisms
Last Updated November 5, 2024
What is an invasive organism?
An organism that was not originally in the area but came in from other areas through human activities.
Invasive organisms are very familiar to our lives, and it is said that the number of invasive organisms living outdoors in Japan is more than 2,000 species even if they know.
These come in from foreign countries on a daily basis, regardless of intentional or unintentional basis. Among alien organisms imported from abroad, invasive alien organisms that have or may adversely affect ecosystems, human life and body, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, are called "special alien organisms".

When exterminating, it is common to remove it from the roots, but in order to prevent the spread of seeds, it is also effective to cut the above ground by the beginning of the flowering season when seeds are formed.
Remove the exterminated items in a bag so that the seeds do not spread, expose them to the sun for a few days to die, and then dispose of them as burnable garbage.
