Railroad Safety Measures Implementation Plan

Last update date April 6, 2023

About development of "railroad crossing safety measures implementation plan"

In Yokohama-shi, we devised "railroad crossing maintenance plan" to push forward future railroad crossing security measures systematically for 167 railroad crossings in the city and announced it in April 2015.
This time, we have compiled the measures taken for 10 railroad crossings that promote safety measures and 5 continuous grade separation candidates extracted in the “* Level Crossing Maintenance Plan”. We decided to work on pedestrian measures for approximately five years, and we decided to work on car measures from medium- to long-term perspective.
Regarding the candidate for continuous grade separation, the Sagami Railway Main Line "Around Tsurugamine Station" has been selected as the section where commercialization is being considered with the highest priority.
