[Drawed Tokaido <<Kanagawa / Hodogaya / Tozuka >>]
In 1601 (Keicho era 6), Ieyasu Tokugawa set up an inn on the Tokaido to transmit official letter cards and luggage, and set up a horse riding system. The horseshoot and Sukyo on each highway were abolished in 1872 (Meiji 5) and passed down to private land transportation companies.
On the Tokaido, in addition to ukiyo-e typified by Hiroshige's 53rd Tokaido, humorous books such as Tokasha 19 "Tokaido Nakakurige" and Robun Kanagaki "Moofu Fuji Pilgrimage" at the end of the Tokugawa period, as well as famous places. It is drawn in many geographical magazines and travel texts.
As a material related to Yokohama, we will introduce the part of "Kanagawa" from the tourist information for the common people written in the late Edo period, "Kanagawa" by Hiratei Gintori's "Enoshima Maude Hama no Sasami".
It's a short distance from Kanagawa Kanakawa.
In this inn, there are Hatanezawa, Hatagame, Oguro-ya, etc. There is also a house where you can enjoy sake and appetizers, especially when you can ship, There is also a Shinto shrine in the middle of Shinya, there is also a Shinto shrine in front of Shinya, Shikanoya.
