Following the September terrorist attacks in the United States in September 2001, the Yokohama Municipal Subway suffered the terrorist attack on the Spanish train in March 2004 and the simultaneous bombing of the London Subway in July 2005. We have strengthened our voluntary vigilance system and are continuing to implement it.

Station staff wear "warning" armbands and strengthen patrols inside the station premises.
Crews are working to prevent terrorism by strengthening the inspection of trains at the turnover station.
In addition, we carry out patrol inspections of important facilities such as depots and substation facilities.

On the platform inside the station yard, there is an intercom that allows you to talk directly with station staff in the station office, and an emergency caller on the train (excluding some vehicles) that can talk directly with the crew. I am.
These devices are installed so that customers can contact the staff directly in the event of an emergency, such as when a suspicious object is discovered or an unwell customer.
