Earthquake countermeasures for structures

After the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, municipal subways implemented seismic reinforcement work on structures such as tunnels and viaducts, and were completed by fiscal 2003.

Currently, we are implementing seismic reinforcement work on structures so that subway operation can be resumed as soon as possible even after the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred.

Measures against flooding at stations

Inundation at the station will hinder operation and station function, and it is expected that restoration will take some time, so a water stoppage plate will be installed at the entrance of the underground station where there is a risk of flooding, We are taking measures to prevent flooding, such as installing a flood prevention device at the ventilation opening on the road surface.
