Introduction of bus business welfare measures vehicles
Last Updated January 14, 2022
Bus (barrier-free) that is easy for anyone to use
Since 1996, municipal buses have introduced bus vehicles equipped with slope boards on the middle door so that wheelchair customers can use them. The basic policy on promoting smooth movement based on the Barrier-Free Law requires that the non-step bus introduction rate be 70% or more by FY2020. As of the end of FY2018, the non-step bus introduction rate was 96.4%, and the barrier-free compatibility rate including one-step bus was 100%. (General sharing)
Non-step bus
The floor is low (floor height about 30 cm) so that all passengers can easily get on and off, and there is no step at the entrance. In addition, when stopping, the height of the vehicle can be reduced by about 5 cm by the vehicle height adjustment device. In addition, the middle door is equipped with a slope board for getting on and off wheelchairs.

One step bus
We have introduced a one-step bus (floor height about 55 cm), which has a large interior space, so that as many customers as possible can use it. The middle door is equipped with a slope board for getting on and off wheelchairs.
