First of all, please tell them that you would like to attend school and attend Education Counseling, and receive the application form from the school.
Please submit the application form to the school.

<In the case of new school (first grader of new elementary school) >>
Please apply in the year before entering elementary school (after April of the year you became an older child).
From May to June, we hold school attendance briefings at our center and each regional nursing center (participation is optional).
We will distribute a consultation application form at the school attendance briefing, so please fill it out and send it to our center by mail.

<In the case of transfer from another city >>
※If the transfer date is near or if you would like a special support school, please contact our center by phone first.
Download the application form from the website of our center, fill it out and send it by mail.
The person in charge will contact you as soon as the contents of the application form are confirmed at our center.

If you are already attending Yokohama City Elementary and Junior High School, please receive the application form from the school.

It is generally 3 to 4 months, but you may have to wait longer when there are many applications.
We will inform you in writing as soon as the consultation date is decided.

There is nothing in particular, but please bring it if you have any reference materials such as the results of developmental tests at other institutions or the maternal and child handbook.
If you are a new school student (first grader in elementary school), we will be able to see the activities of the group.
Please come in easy-to-move clothes.
※You do not need to wear shoes for both new and existing school students.

It takes about 2 hours.
If you do not perform a developmental test (for example, using test data received by another organization), it will be about one to one and a half hours.

We conduct developmental tests of children by psychological judges, interviews and advice by Education Counseling members.
If you are a new school student (first grader in elementary school), we will also see the activities of the group.

We will adjust the schedule of the counselor in charge and set the consultation date again.

You may bring it with you, but in principle, we ask that parents spend their time in the same room.

You can use the parking lot for consultants.
On the day, please bring the "parking permit" enclosed with the notification of the consultation date decision.

If the test was taken within approximately one year, we will consult with reference to the test contents at nursing centers.
In that case, we will contact the nursing center from this center to order the test results.

If a parent provides the test results to our center, we will consult with you using the results.
If possible, please mail the test results to our center before consultation.

Please contact our center by telephone as soon as possible.
After confirming the details such as the type of test, in some cases, we will order the test results from our center to a nursing center.

In the following cases, there is no need to consult again at our center.
Please tell your junior high school that you would like to have an individual support class.

• If you are enrolled in an individual support class at an elementary school
• The latest judgment when consulting with our center when you are in elementary school is the "Individual Support Class", but if you are actually enrolled in a general class.

In Yokohama City, individual intellectual and emotional support classes are set up at all municipal elementary and junior high schools.
If you wish to have an individual support class, you will need to apply for consultation with our center.
At the same time, we ask the principal of the school you plan to attend to as soon as possible.
※In Yokohama, the school district is determined by Address.
