※If you wish to change to a general class, you do not need to consult at our center. Please consult with the school.

<If you are enrolled in Yokohama City Elementary and Junior High School (pre-school) >>
First of all, tell your school that you would like to attend Education Counseling, and receive an application form from the school.
Please submit the application form to the school.

In the case of new school (first grader) >>
Please apply in the previous year of elementary school entrance (after April of the year you became an older child).
From May to June, we hold school attendance briefings at this center and each local nursing center (participation is optional).
A consultation application form will be distributed at the school briefing, so please fill out the form and send it to our center by mail.

<In the case of transfer from another city >>
※If the transfer date is near or if you would like to go to a special support school, please contact our center by phone first.

As soon as the contents of the application form are confirmed at this center, the person in charge will contact you.

If you have already attended Yokohama City Elementary and Junior High School, please receive an application form from the school.

It is approximately 3 to 4 months, but you may have to wait more when there are many applications.
We will inform you in writing as soon as the consultation date is decided.

There is nothing in particular, but please bring it if you have any reference materials such as the results of developmental tests at other institutions and the Mother and Child Handbook.
If you are a new school student (first grader in the new elementary school), you will be able to see the activities of the group.
Please come in clothes that are easy to move.
※You do not need to wear shoes for both new and pre-school students.

It takes about 2 hours.
If you do not perform a developmental test (for example, when using test data received from another organization), it will take about 1 hour to 1.5 hours.

Psychologists conduct child development tests, interviews and advice by Education Counseling members.
If you are a new school (first grader in the new elementary school), we will also see the activities of the group.

If you are a new school student (first grader), please contact our center directly by phone.
If you are a pre-school child, please contact the school.

Please contact our center by telephone.
We will adjust the schedule of the counselor in charge and set a consultation date again.

You can bring it with you, but in principle, we ask that parents spend time in the same room.

Parking is available for consultation.
On the day, please bring the "Parking Permit" enclosed with the notification of the consultation date decision.

If the test is received within approximately one year, we will consult with reference to the test contents at nursing centers.
In that case, we will contact the nursing center etc. and order the test results.

If parents provide the test results to our center, we will consult with them using the results.
If possible, we ask that you mail the test results to our center before consultation.

Please contact our center as soon as possible.
After confirming the details such as the type of test, in some cases, we will order the test results from our center to a nursing center.

No consultation at our center is required. Please consult with the school.

In the following cases, you do not need to consult with us again.
Please tell your junior high school that you would like to apply for an individual support class.

• If you are enrolled in an individual support class at elementary school
• The latest judgment when consulting at this center while attending elementary school is "Individual Support Class", but in fact, if you are actually enrolled in a general class

In Yokohama City, all municipal elementary and junior high schools have set up individual intellectual and emotional support classes.
If you wish to have an individual support class, you will need to apply for a consultation with our center.
At the same time, please contact the school principal of the school you plan to go to school as soon as possible.
