As the employment environment of young people deteriorates significantly, the number of young people who cannot work even if they want to work, such as Hiki Komoriya "NEET", and who have no place to stay in society and need support is increasing.

In recent years, the number of adolescents who are not good at communication and have problematic behavior, such as late at night or violence in schools, has increased.

In order to address such issues faced by young people and children, various institutions have established a network to utilize their expertise and provide support according to the stage of development and mental and physical conditions of children and young people. The "Child and Youth Development Support Promotion Act" was enforced on April 1, 2010.　

In Motoichi, we have developed various measures and businesses unprecedented in the whole country to foster and support young people and children who have difficulties in running such social life. .

Therefore, the “Child and Youth Support Regional Council” (Yokohama City Child and Youth Support Council) stipulated in the “Child and Youth Development Support Promotion Act” was established for the first time in a government-designated city. From the perspective of young people, we will review past measures and businesses and work on creating a comprehensive support system.

１．Review and policy proposals of measures to support the development of children and youth from the perspective of parties

By investigating and examining from the perspective of children and young people who have difficulty receiving support, we will review the existing framework and propose new measures and businesses.　

２．Creation of a comprehensive support system through cooperation between NPOs, companies, experts and administrative organizations

In cooperation with many NPOs, companies, experts and administrative organizations in and out of the city working to support the development of children and young people, comprehensively support children and young people with difficulties throughout society, and promote the social participation of children and young people Build a mechanism.

３．Development and support of human resources and organizations responsible for youth support

While snuggling with each child and young people, we will examine the know-how to support accompanying (Yokohama-type career ladder) according to the stage of development and mental and physical condition, and support the development of human resources (groups) who will be responsible for it To do.

We carried out the second "Yokohama-shi child, youth fact-finding" since 2012 to grasp the actual situation of child, youth of Motoichi or needs of young people having difficulty. In addition, we conducted a “Citizen's Life Survey” with the same content as the “Yokohama City Children and Youth Survey”. It will be used as basic data when considering future measures. While each committee member introduced various approaches, such as how young people themselves can independently make proposals, planning, and management of local activities, they exchanged opinions on methods, effects, and issues.
