Youth Consultation Center Q & A

In addition, depending on the content of the consultation, we may refer you to an appropriate consultation destination.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's “Hikikomori Community Support Center” has been set up in prefectures and designated cities as a “Hikikomori Community Support Center” with the function of a specialized primary consultation service specializing in hikikomori.

Currently, there are many consultations on truancy for high school age and withdrawals for those in their twenties, but we also accept other consultations. Depending on the content of the consultation, we may refer you to the appropriate consultation destination.

This center does not engage in free space (place) activities.
Regional Youth Plaza (East / West / South / Northern), there is a free space (place of residence), so please use that.

Group activities are intended for those who continue to consult with us at the Center.
The timing and frequency of participation will be decided while discussing with the counselor in charge.

Home visits are intended for those who continue to consult at this center.
The timing and frequency of home visits will be decided in consultation with the counselor in charge, based on the will of the individual.

We also accept consultations from youth relatives, such as grandparents and relatives.
However, if the Center continues to consult, the consent of the youth and his / her guardian is required.

After listening to the story and thinking together, depending on the content of the consultation, we may introduce an appropriate consultation destination.

Parents' participation is intended for those who continue to consult and support at this center.
