What is the after-school kids club?

Purpose

The after-school kids club is a project that utilizes elementary school facilities.
①This program is designed to provide all children with a place of play free of charge, and (2) a "place of living" for elementary school student who are away from home.
It started in 2004 and is installed in all elementary schools in Motoichi in 2020.

Target elementary school student

As a general rule, elementary school student is a first to sixth graders who go to the school and wish to use this service.

Opening date

After-school kids clubs are open in principle, except on Sunday, national holidays, and New Year's holidays (December 29-January 3).
However, if there is an unavoidable reason to close the kids club after school, or if there is no request to use it, the closing or opening time may be shortened.
In addition, the available days and times vary depending on the usage category.

Usage time

Exciting [Category 1]

Weekdays: After school until 4 p.m.
Saturday: None
School holidays: Approximately 2 hours of use time specified by the kids club after school (either of two times in the morning and afternoon (once in the morning only on summer holidays)
※Exciting [Category 1] is implemented as a "place of play". For this reason, it may not be implemented due to disasters, at the time of a heat stroke warning alert is issued, or infectious disease countermeasures.

Quickly (Yuyake) [Category 2A]

Weekdays: After school until 5 p.m.
Saturday: From 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
School holidays except Saturday: From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Quickly (Hoshizora) [Category 2B]

Weekdays: After school until 7 p.m.
Saturday: From 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
School holidays except Saturday: From 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Please apply directly to the kids club after school. For contact information of each after-school kids club, please check the web page of each ward.

Exciting [Category 1]

Exciting [Category 1] is implemented as a "place of play". For this reason, emergency situations may not be implemented.
When using the spot, a usage fee of 800 yen / time and a snack fee (about actual cost) will be charged.

What is Spot Use?

This system allows children to be accepted as elementary school student at 7:00 pm, such as when leaving home after school due to temporary work of parents, children who are excited [Category 1] and receive their children until 7:00 pm. It can be used only when there is space in the capacity of [Category 2].

Sukusuku (Hoshizora) [Category 2AB]

Sukusuku (Hoshizora) [Category 2AB] can be used only in the absence home elementary school student, etc., and is implemented as a "place of play" and "place of living".
Absent family elementary school student, etc. refers to children of households who have difficulty protecting and raising their children during school hours due to employment.

Free of charge

Quickly (Yuyake) [Category 2A]

April to June and September to March: 2,000 yen per month + snack fee (approx. actual cost)
July and August: 2,500 yen per month + snack fee (approximate cost)
(Free of charge for households receiving Subsidies for School Expenses in Yokohama, households exempt from municipal tax income, and households receiving livelihood protection are free.)

Quickly (Hoshizora) [Category 2B]

April to June and September to March: 5,000 yen per month + snack fee (approx. actual cost)
(2,500 yen per month for households receiving the Subsidies for School Expenses of Yokohama, households exempt from municipal tax income percent, and households receiving livelihood protection)
July and August: 5,500 yen per month + snack fee (actual cost)
(¥3,000 per month for households receiving the Subsidies for School Expenses of Yokohama, households exempt from municipal tax income, and households receiving livelihood protection are ¥3,000 per month.)

Insurance coverage

800 yen or less per year (depending on the kids club after school)
