Agglomeration generated by cleaning
Last Updated March 6, 2019
Cleaning places that may become “micro spots” in daycare centers, etc.
About measurement result of radiation dose of agglomerates generated by
Currently, at nursery schools, etc., the collections generated by cleaning places that may become "micro spots" (see below) are stored in places where children on the facility premises do not approach, but 2012 Since February, the radiation dose of these agglomerates has been measured sequentially.
About measurement contents
Private businesses (two companies) entrusted by Motoichi patrol each nursery school, and about plastic bags containing accumulated materials such as earth and sand and dead leaves stored on the premises of the facility, measure the space radiation dose of 1 cm from the surface for each. (Measures will be carried out sequentially by the end of March.)
If the measured value of the plastic bag is 0.59 μSv / h or more in 1 cm from the surface (or 0.23 μSv / h or more in 50 cm (* 1)), the cleaning place where the accumulation in the plastic bag was removed We measure space radiation dose and confirm that it is less than standard (※ 2) of microspot correspondence of Motoichi.
※1
If the measurement of 1 cm from the surface is 0.23 μSv / h or more and less than 0.59 μSv / h, the spatial radiation dose at 50 cm from the surface is measured.
※2
Estimated surface height for microspots in Motoichi 1cm: 0.59μSv/h、50cm: 0.23μSv/h
About measurement result
Facilities where the measured value of 1 cm from the surface of the agglomeration (poly bag) was 0.59 μSv / h or more (or 0.23 μSv / h or more for 50 cm)

Response with measurement results
The accumulation (poly bag) where the measured value of 1 cm from the surface was 0.59 μSv / h or more (or 0.23 μSv / h or more at 50 cm) is covered with concrete shields and covered with blue sheets. , Temporary storage in a place where children cannot approach. In addition, we have confirmed that the radiation dose at the storage location is less than the standard of response.
About cleaning of places that may become "micro spots"
In September 2011, a higher radiation dose than the surrounding area was confirmed near the road gutter in Kohoku Ward, and in the same month, we urgently cleaned up places (*) where children could become microspots in places close to the premises of municipal nursery schools on a daily basis. In addition, the removed accumulations are sealed in double plastic bags, covered with blue sheets, etc. to prevent scattering, and temporarily stored in places where children do not approach.
In addition, we request that you perform similar cleaning about private nursery school or Yokohama nursery room.
※Lower gutters, on and around gutters and rainwater basins, places where dead leaves are accumulated, slide entrances, outdoor hand washing areas, etc.
