Konan Ward’s Concept of Digital Promotion

Konan Ward has been selected as a model district for the Digital Ward Office in the Yokohama DX Strategy, and is actively promoting digitalization with the aim of becoming "Takataka Digital Konan*."

Targets

 1 Digital that allows residents to feel "convenient"
   We will take on the challenge of improving the convenience of administrative services.
 2 Digital Supporting Community Exchange and Activities
   Utilizing digital technology, we will support people who work in the community.
 3 Digital that employees can feel "business improvement and efficiency"
   Create time and increase the time to face the residents of the city.

Konan Ward's goal is described as "warm digital Konan." When it comes to digital, some people have an inorganic and cold impression, but Konan Ward uses the power of digital technology to improve the convenience of residents and improve the efficiency of ward office operations.

Background of Digital Advancement

Issues in the COVID-19 pandemic

  • Due to the delay in digitalization, it is difficult to work styles regardless of location or organization, such as business support for dealing with infectious diseases.
  • It is difficult to respond to the transmission of information that is updated on a daily basis, such as COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become difficult to hold real-life projects, such as group events and lectures that have been held so far.

  The organization focuses on child-rearing support, education, DX, and decarbonization, while firmly working on urgent issues against infectious diseases.

[Yokohama DX Strategy] (September 30, 2022)

  We are promoting Yokohama's DX with the aim of creating an attractive city by bringing the benefits of digital to all citizens and communities.

Actions to Achieving Targets

  As a model ward, the first four years (Reiwa 4-7) to be undertaken in earnest are positioned as “First Step” to achieve the target, and inhabitants of the ward, local residents and staff are digital on three themes. Consider and try initiatives that can realize the benefits of

Theme 1 Convenient Ward Office

  We will pursue the convenience of inhabitants of a ward, such as utilizing digital for consultation and information provision, and promoting administrative procedures online.

Theme 2 ward office that walks with the local community

  Through digitalization, we will support the digitalization of local communities, such as reducing the burden on people working in the communities that are partners of the community development through collaboration.

Theme 3 Changing Ward Office

  We will use digital technologies to improve operational efficiency and foster an organizational culture that is positive for transformation.
