Construction work related to sewer Sewerage self-financing construction

1 Overview

It is construction that person except public sewer manager performs construction about sewer facility on public roads after having received approval of public sewer manager at expense.

Please select the self-financing construction from the contractors (industry type: civil engineering work business) that has been licensed by the Construction Business Law. 2 Application for self-financing construction

When carrying out self-financing work, you must submit an application for approval of construction of sewerage facilities to each Public Works Office before the construction, and obtain approval from The Mayor of Yokohama, the public sewer administrator.

The following documents are usually attached to the mounting pipe. (Please contact us for more information.)

  1. Guide map (copy of house map, etc.)
  2. Layout drawing (a shape of the building and the position of the mounting pipe)

  3. Floor plan (The extension of the mounting pipe is entered from the inner surface of the basin to the center of the main pipe. 1 decimal place (in meters)

  5. Excavation cross-section (appropriate to the pavement type at the relevant site)

  6. A copy of the drainage facility plan confirmation application form (a copy set of duplicates with confirmation seal).

(If drainage construction does not occur, or if the drainage contractor has not been decided due to development activities, etc., please contact Public Works Office for required documents.)

3 Notification of start of self-financing construction

If you have received a letter of approval from Public Works Office, start construction of sewerage facilities, etc., please submit it to Public Works Office along with a schedule to registration form.

4 Delay

When we are going to extend construction period for unavoidable reasons, we must submit construction period extension registration form such as public sewerage facility construction to the mayor with schedule. (Yokohama City Sewerage Ordinance, Article 17, Paragraph 5)

The term "unavoidable reason" here is, in principle, the following cases.

  • When negotiations with local residents are difficult and construction is delayed.
  • When construction is delayed due to relocation, cut, protection, etc. of underground buried objects, etc.
  • When an unexpected accident occurs at the design stage of soft ground, spring water, etc., causes a change in the construction method, etc., and the construction is delayed.
  • When construction is delayed due to natural disasters, land changes, etc.

5 Changes

When we change construction periods for unavoidable reasons or are going to change facility contents at the time of approval application, we must submit change registration form such as public sewer facility construction work to the mayor. Please consult with Public Works Office, etc. for necessary drawings.

The handling when trying to change the facility contents at the time of approval application is as follows in principle. However, please consult with Public Works Office in advance for minor changes.

6 Completion Notification, Inspection

Applicants must submit the completion of construction of public sewerage facilities to the Public Works Office in charge of completion of construction of public sewerage facilities, etc. to the relevant registration form promptly and undergo a completion inspection.

The following documents are usually attached to the mounting pipe.

If there is no defect in the contents of the self-financing construction (if it can be taken over as a facility in Yokohama City), after completion inspection, a certificate of completion inspection (the one with the mayor's seal or Public Works Office seal) will be issued to the applicant.
