As we publish test result from 2011 to 2023 that Motoichi carried out every year, please see.
Standard values for radioactive substances (radioactive cesium) in foods under the Food Sanitation Law
For radioactive materials, standard values are set by the Food Sanitation Law as radioactive cesium.
For regulated nuclides, it is said that nuclides with a relatively long half-life and long-term effects should be considered. Cesium, strontium, lutenium, and plutonium, which are nuclides with a half-life of more than one year, are regulated. In addition, for nuclides other than cesium, the ratio with cesium is calculated to ensure that the additional internal exposure dose is not exceeded by 1 millisievert per year.
When setting the standard value, the age group, gender, etc. are subdivided, and it is set to be below the strictest value, and there is a possibility that the age group with a high intake of food and the sensitivity to radiation is high. It is carefully considered for children and infants.
Please refer to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare website (outside site) for materials for setting standard values.
Classification of food | Standard value |
---|---|
Foods for baby/infant | 50Bq/kg |
Drinking water | 10Bq/kg |
Milk | 50Bq/kg |
General food products | 100Bq/kg |
What is the detection limit?
The minimum concentration that can be detected is calculated automatically, depending on the target item, the accuracy of the measuring device, the measurement time, etc.
