You can see the Water Supply Law-related laws and regulations. The main notices and office communications issued by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to water utilities, etc. are posted. Water quality standards based on Article 4 of the Water Supply Law are determined by ministerial ordinances on water quality standards (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Ordinance No. 101 of May 30, 2003). We publish summary of water quality inspection result of tap water that water utilities of the whole country carried out.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare conducts an annual accuracy management survey with the aim of ensuring the safety of tap water and improving inspection accuracy.

Based on the Kanagawa Prefecture Tap Water Quality Management Plan, we conduct external accuracy management surveys to improve the technology of tap water quality inspection organizations and ensure the reliability of the test results.

It is in charge of the only country's test research and education related to water supply, and conducts educational training and test research on water supply maintenance and other water engineering with the aim of providing the necessary technical assistance to local governments and water utilities.
