About Neurology incurable disease
Last Updated April 1, 2021
Neuro incurable disease includes diseases such as spinal cord cerebral degeneration, ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Parkinson's disease, and dementia.
In our hospital, we actively provide treatment and home support for these neuroincurable diseases.
Designated incurable disease (outside site)
Main nerve incurable disease
Spinal cord cerebellar degeneration
Spinal cerebellar degeneration is a disease in which nerve cells from the cerebellum and cerebral stem to the spinal cord gradually decrease, causing motor dyslexion.
As the symptoms progress, you will not be able to move your body as you wish, such as fluttering while walking, shaking hands, and not turning around.
ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a disease in which motor nerve cells are affected to transmit instructions from the brain and peripheral nerves to the muscles.
As symptoms progress, the muscles of the whole body may be weakened or breathing may be difficult.
Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's disease is said to occur mainly after the age of 40 to 50 and is caused by a decrease in dopamine, one of the neurotransmitters.
Symptoms include trembling limbs, slow movement, stiff muscles, and poor body balance.
In addition to motor symptoms, insomnia, depression, and acknowledgement dysfunction may also be seen.
Dementia
Alzheimer's dementia
Alzheimer's dementia is a disease that develops mainly after the age of 60, in which neurons in the brain are invaded, the brain gradually atrophy, and intelligence and physical function decline.
The main symptom is memory impairment, and as the symptoms progress, it becomes difficult to communicate and may become bedridden.
Lewy body type dementia
Lewy body dementia is a disease in which special changes appear in nerve cells in the brain.
Initial symptoms include hallucinations (illusions) and delusions. As the symptoms progress, symptoms similar to dementia such as forgetfulness, and symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease such as walking disorders are seen.
Guillan-Barre Syndrome
Guillain-Barre syndrome is a disease in which the immune system to protect yourself becomes abnormal, attacks your nerves, and the motor nerves are affected.
The main symptoms include inability to the limbs, numbness of the limbs, and inability to the facial muscles, which can make breathing difficult as it progresses.
Severe muscle aspharmacia
Severe myocardia is a disease in which the function of the muscles that receive command from the brain cannot be fully demonstrated, and the muscles cannot move well.
The main symptoms are weakening muscle strength, becoming tired, and making eyes and mouth difficult to move.
CIDP (Chronic inflammatory demyelative multiple neurophitis)
It is a disease in which peripheral nerves (exercise, sensation, autonomic nervous system) are invaded and symmetrical to the body, causing motor and sensory disorders.
The main symptoms include lack of strength in the limbs and weakness in muscle strength. As the symptoms progress, this makes it easier to fall or make it impossible to grasp things well.
