Overview
The Mental Health and Welfare Council was established based on Article 9 of the Law Concerning Mental Health and Welfare for Mentally Handicapped with the aim of investigating and discussing matters related to mental health and welfare for the mentally ill.
The committee members are those who have academic experience in mental health or the welfare of mentally ill persons, those engaged in medical care for mentally ill persons, and promote the rehabilitation of mentally ill persons or promote their independence and participation in socio-economic activities. The mayor appoints from those engaged in business to plan.
Promotion of addiction measures based on the Basic Law on Alcohol Health Disorders, the Basic Law on Countermeasures against Gambling, etc., and the “Comprehensive Support Project” indicated by the government is required. Based on this situation, the main measures of the medium-term four-year plan are to establish a consultation base for addiction consultation bases to strengthen consultation in familiar places, and promote addiction measures.
In order to receive opinions from experts on the specific promotion measures of this addiction consultation base, at the first Yokohama City Mental Health and Welfare Council in 2018, we received the approval of the establishment of a study meeting on addiction measures. , A subcommittee was held in 2018.
