From October 1, 2012, the Disability Abuse Prevention Law was enforced.
Disability abuse is a problem that can occur anywhere, such as at home, facility, or workplace!
Disability abuse is a serious violation of the rights of persons with disabilities. However, the caregiver may not be aware of the abuse, or the abused disabled person may not be able to recognize the damage and may not be able to complain. It is important to find out early and provide support to people with disabilities and caregivers before the problem becomes serious. The Act on the Prevention of Abuse of Persons with Disabilities and Support for Caregivers of Persons with Disabilities (Act on the Prevention of Abuse of Persons with Disabilities) states that, in addition to the prohibition of abuse and the obligation to report abuse of persons who have found abuse.

On the other hand, it is stipulated that measures should be taken to prevent abuse.
Report and notification window for abuse of persons with disabilities
Based on the Act on the Prevention of Abuse of Persons with Disabilities, the Yokohama City Disability Abuse Prevention Center (report / report window) was established in Motoichi.
From October 1, 2012, by dedicated telephone (045-662-0355) or fax (045-671-3566).

○We accept reports from persons with disabilities who have been abused.
The reception desk is held 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and in cases where abuse is suspected based on the content of reports and reports, the Health and Social Welfare Bureau and the Health and Welfare Center of each ward cooperate to confirm the facts and respond appropriately to the protection and independence of persons with disabilities.

In Yokohama City, we hold training for workers such as welfare facilities for persons with disabilities to prevent abuse of persons with disabilities.
