Preferential access to municipal and Prefecture Housing

Municipal Housing recruits around April and October every year (Prefecture Housing around May and November). There are conditions such as the amount of income of the household. For more information, please contact the following office.

General housing for households

Target person

Currently, households with the following family members who live or intend to live together

  1. Those who have been issued a certificate of the physically disabled of grades 1 to 4
  2. Those who have been issued the 1st and 2nd grade Mental Handicapped Health and Welfare Handbook
  3. Those with mental disabilities who have been issued a 1st or 2nd grade disability pension certificate
  4. Those who have been issued a notebook of love (care notebook) from A1 to B1
  5. Those who are judged to have an intelligence index of 50 or less (* Municipal Housing only)

Contents of preferential treatment

  1. In addition to the above target persons, those who are in the Health and Welfare Handbook for the Mentally Handicapped and disability pension Grade 3 are municipal and prefectural, and those who are in the Municipal Housing are entitled to the preferential treatment.)
  2. We have reduced the monthly income of households based on the income standard.
  3. A special reduction system for housing usage fees for persons with disabilities may be applied (with income restrictions). Please contact the Yokohama City Housing Supply Corporation Municipal Housing Division for information on disability. (*For more information about Prefecture Housing, please contact the Kanagawa Land and Building conservation Association.)

General housing for singles

Target person

Those who do not currently have a spouse on family register and fall under any of the following items:

  1. Those who have been issued a certificate of the physically disabled of grades 1 to 4
  2. Those who have been issued the 1st to 3rd grade Mental Handicapped Health and Welfare Handbook
  3. Those with mental disabilities who have been issued a disability pension Certificate of Grade 1 to 3
  4. Those who have been issued a notebook of love (care notebook)
  5. Those who are judged to have an intelligence index of 75 or less (* Municipal Housing only)

Contents of preferential treatment

  1. Those under the age of 60 can also apply for single-person housing.
  2. Awards are given to general applicants (* Municipal Housing only).
  3. The monthly income of households based on the occupancy income standard is reduced (* Persons with Mental Handicapped Health and Welfare Handbook Level 3, disability pension Grade 3, Love Handbook B2, Intelligence Index 51 or higher are not eligible).
  4. A special reduction system for housing usage fees for persons with disabilities may be applied (with income restrictions). For information on the target disability, please contact the Yokohama City Housing Supply Corporation Municipal Housing Division (*For Prefecture Housing, please contact the Kanagawa Land and Building conservation Association).
