Universal Design (UD) Taxi

Yokohama City has been promoting the introduction of welfare vehicles by taxi operators for a long time, but this time we have held the "UD taxi ride experience meeting".
It is an opportunity for people with disabilities who are worried about using taxis on a daily basis, and to experience a taxi ride. Taxi companies and car manufacturers will also gather, so I hope that you will be able to resolve the concerns of using taxis on a daily basis, such as how to fix a wheelchair, riding a large wheelchair, riding alone, and riding experience alone. . List of universal design (UD) taxi introduction companies that can use welfare taxi tickets (2023) (PDF: 281KB)

It is a general taxi vehicle that is easy for everyone to use, considering the disabled and the elderly, such as with a slide step in a wide opening and a ride in a wheelchair, and can be used at general taxi fare.

From 2012, Yokohama City has been promoting the introduction of UD taxis to general taxi operators running in the city by subsidizing a part of the vehicle purchase cost.
The immediate goal is to introduce 490 vehicles, or 10% of general taxis running in the city.

From Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Yokohama Station East Exit Taxi Plaza, a dedicated waiting lane for UD taxis and EV (electric vehicle) taxis will be set up in cooperation with the Kanagawa Taxi Association and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. I am installing.
