If you look at the sea from the Yamashita Rinko Line Promenade, which connects Aka Renga Park (Red Brick Warehouse Park) and Yamashita Park, and passes through the central part of Zou-no-Hana-District, you will find a breakwater that extends to the left. This breakwater looks like an elephant nose when viewed from above, so it is commonly called "elephant nose".
The port of Yokohama began here in Zou-no-Hana-District.
In Yokohama City, in order to create a place of bustle and exchange while taking advantage of the history and symbolism of this precious district, we will promote step-by-step maintenance based on open spaces and green spaces, and June 2009, the 150th anniversary of the opening of the port. Opened as Zou-no-hana Park.
