If you look at the sea from the Yamashita Rinko Line Promenade, which connects Aka Renga Park (Red Brick Warehouse Park) and Yamashita Park and passes through the center of Zou-no-Hana-District, you will find a breakwater that extends to the left from the entrance of the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal. When you look at this breakwater from above, it resembles an elephant's nose, so it is commonly called "elephant's nose".
The port of Yokohama began here in Zou-no-Hana-District.
In Yokohama City, in order to create a lively and exchange place while taking advantage of the historical and symbolism of this precious district, we will promote gradual maintenance based on plazas and green spaces, and June 2009, the 150th anniversary of the opening of the port. Opened as Zounohana Park on the 2nd (opening anniversary of the opening of the port).
