The summer-only tent lifting measures have been completed on September 30 this year as scheduled.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Be careful! Throwing fishing is a prohibited act!
Recently, many complaints have been sent to Port and Harbor Bureau about throwing fishing from visitors to the promenade.
- The hook of a person who swings without worrying about the back was about to hit it
- Even if the security guard calls out, he throws it again when the security guard leaves.
- I can't easily take a walk because I'm afraid of the fishing rod of the person throwing fishing.
As posted at the facility, throwing fishing is prohibited on the Kanazawa Waterfront Green Space.
If the number of people ignoring the rules increases, we have to consider measures to prohibit fishing from the viewpoint of ensuring the safety of other users.
If you use this facility, please follow the rules for use.
WARNING: Cast fishing is prohibited!
Recently, the Port and Harbor Bureau has received several complaints about cast fishing along public pedestrian walkways. Complaints include:
- Nearly getting hit by fishing hooks due to fishers casting without looking behind them.
- Even when warned by a security guard, they return to fishing once the security guard has left.
- Not feeling comfortable to walk on the path due to feeling scared of getting hit by a fishing rod.
As clearly stated on signs around the facility, cast fishing is prohibited at the Kanazawa Water Front Green Space. If the number of people who ignore the rules increases, we may have to ban all fishing in order to ensure the safety of others.
We ask that everyone who uses this facility follow the rules.

About Kanazawa waterfront green space
The seawalls in the Fukuura and Sachiura districts of Kanazawa Ward, which were severely damaged by the typhoon in September 2019, have been restored as a seawall to protect the largest possible high tides and flooding caused by high waves by raising them and installing wave-dissipating blocks.
