From November, Asuka II (outside site) (Yusen Cruise Co., Ltd.) and Nippon Maru (outside site) (MOL Passenger Ship Co., Ltd.) resumed domestic short cruises in Yokohama Port, and in December "Pashi Fok Binnas (external site)" (Japan Cruise Liner Co., Ltd.) has also resumed domestic short cruises.

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, each company has been working on initiatives to resume operations, such as preparing a manual for preventing and spreading the new coronavirus infection for ocean-going cruise ship operators (September 18, 2020 (first edition)) formulated by the Japan Coastal Passenger Ship Association (outside site) under the supervision of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

In order to verify the effectiveness of these, the certification has been obtained through the "Guidelines for Biosafety Management System for COVID-19 on Cruise Ships" formulated by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (outside site), a fair third-party organization, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (outside site), an equitable third party organization.

In addition, at Yokohama Port, together with related organizations, including the national and prefectural hygiene departments, confirmed in advance the status of measures onboard and countermeasures against infectious diseases such as disembarking and transport of infected persons.
In addition, Yokohama Port will offer domestic cruise ships for the time being.

• PCR test of all passengers before boarding
• Deployment of virus inspection systems on board
• Arrangement of accommodation facilities and transportation means in case of infection on board

We have prepared a thorough system, such as confirming measures against infectious diseases.

Yokohama Port will continue to focus on the safety and security of passengers as well as passengers, citizens and port officials.
