Cancer screening

★We can receive Yokohama-shi cancer screening at conduct medical institution.
★You live in the city and do not have any other consultation opportunities (such as cancer screening at the workplace), and those who fall under the following target persons can receive a medical examination.
About type, rate of Yokohama-shi cancer screening
●If you are currently undergoing treatment, you may not be able to see a doctor, so please consult your GP in advance.
●Those who have reached the following target age as of April 1, 2025 can have a consultation.
●If you receive a consultation without an appropriate consultation interval (such as twice a year), you may be required to pay the entire amount.

- ※Note 1: health check-up gastric cancer cannot undergo both X-ray and endoscopy in the same year.
※Note 2: Endoscopy may be performed in the middle of health check-up to collect mucous membranes for pathological examination. This biopsy will be covered by insurance and will be charged separately. (Be sure to bring your insurance card on the day of health check-up.)
Exemption from health check-up fees
If you take each required documents at the time of your cancer screening, you will be exempt from the cost of health check-up.

- １．Persons aged 70 or older as of April 1, 2025 (those born before April 1, 1955) → Please show a health insurance card that can confirm your age.
２．Those who are eligible for the Medical System for Elderly Seniors → Please show "Identification card for the elderly medical care insured". - ３．social security Households → Please show "Request for medical treatment such as holidays and nighttime".
- ４．Those who are eligible for the Chinese residual Japanese support benefit system → Please show your "Identity Confirmation Certificate".
５．All household members are taxable only for municipal tax prefectural tax exemption or per capita rate in 2023 → You need to apply in advance at the ward office Health Promotion Section. Please contact us.
Method of consultation
Please make a reservation directly with the medical institution. When making a reservation, please tell us that you want to have a cancer screening in Yokohama City.
Please ask the medical institution directly for the date and time of reception.
As we carry out other cancer screening in municipal hospital cancer screening center (outside site), please refer directly for details.
Cancer screening promotion business
For those of a specific age, we will send out coupons that are free for consultation. Please use it when paying the health check-up fee. Specifically, please see this (City of Yokohama, Medical Care Bureau cancer, disease control section homepage).
