Around Hazawa Station Town Development Council
Last Updated December 13, 2023
For the Kanagawa Eastern Line, "Hazawa Station (tentative name) *" will be developed near Yokohama-Hazawa Station (Hazawa-machi, Kanagawa-ku) on the JR Tokaido Freight Line, improving the convenience of transportation and living in the surrounding area. .
On the other hand, the local living environment may change due to various developments, a decrease in the natural environment such as green spaces and farmland, and a decrease in the safety of the district.
Therefore, residents around the new station (Kanagawa Ward and Hodogaya Ward) established the Hazawa Station Area Community Development Council to organize and examine the current issues and problems in the area, as well as the expected issues associated with the establishment of the new station.

The "Sotetsu / JR Direct Line" has a connecting line in the section from Nishiya Station on the Sotetsu Main Line to Yokohama-Hazawa Station on the JR Tokaido Freight Line, and performs mutual direct operation between the Sotetsu Line and the JR Line. .
Furthermore, if the Sotetsu-Tokyu Direct Line (between Hazawa and Shin-Yokohama and Hiyoshi) is established, mutual direct operation to Toukyu Toyoko Line and other areas will be possible.
This will directly connect the western part of Yokohama City, central Kanagawa Prefecture, and central Tokyo, improving express delivery, improving Shinkansen access, and alleviating congestion on the JR Tokaido Line.
