1.Launching of Youth Club

☆What triggers
With the aging of society, the number of senior executives in Neighborhood Associations has increased. We planned to launch a youth club because we needed young people to support disaster prevention and anti-crime program activities and events.



☆Promotion System (PTA, Children's Association)
The youth club will help Neighborhood Associations events. We work with Neighborhood Associations executives.



☆"What did you do (what kind of action?")
We distributed a letter of intent describing the purpose of the formation and activities to acquaintances of officers at the time of the launch of the Youth Club and the fathers of the children's association, and since I happened to be active in the Neighborhood Associations Softball Team.
At the opening ceremony, general managers, deputy general managers, and secretary were appointed, and explanations were given in detail so that they could easily imagine what to do in future activities.
Helping with events can be done when possible, so we take a stance of participating.



☆"How long did it take (period)"
A letter of intent was sent in May 2013, a launch ceremony was held in June, and activities started in July.



☆"What happened (the result, what has improved)?"
Neighborhood Associations's summer festivals, Bon Dance Festival, disaster drill and anti-crime program activities are supported by youth clubs.



☆"What's going on after that (now, future challenges)?"
Currently, I am active with 30 people. We continue to help as much as we can when we can.

A (Presentationer): There are 4 to 5 people, but most of them are men.

2.Promoting participation in Neighborhood Associations

☆"What was the reason?"
In Neighborhood Associations, it was talked about how to increase the number of subscribers.
In particular, we have been working on how to get single people living in apartments and young couples join Neighborhood Associations.



☆"What did you do (what kind of action?")
I distributed a request document for joining, but it didn't come in easily.
Therefore, we contacted the condominium management company and owner to ask for their cooperation.
For large condominiums, we explained the necessity of Neighborhood Associations to the management company when the construction started, and we received cooperation.
In addition, we promote Neighborhood Associations's activities every time there is an event, so that everyone can understand it.



☆"What happened (the result, what has improved)?"
With the cooperation of condominium management companies, the number of subscribers to Neighborhood Associations is increasing.

Q: How many households have increased in Neighborhood Associations?
A: About 10 years ago, it was about 670 to 680 households, but now it is about 730 households.

  • The flyer alone is not effective, so speaking directly is important.

Approaching the father of the children's association, being in a softball team, I was in a softball team, being able to call out from that connection, and to help with events, etc. I think that it was good to emphasize.
We believe that steady efforts must be made to promote participation in Neighborhood Associations.

Regarding the youth club, it was very big that it was based on a face-to-face relationship, such as playing softball together, and that he presented specifically to help with such a thing. Is not it?
Regarding the promotion of participation, condominiums etc. are said to be talking with management companies etc. at the stage of development by the contractor, but if you do not do it, persuading one by one, there is little results for labor I think it is an effective approach.
