Cooperation with PTA Activities

Last update date December 20, 2023

"We are deepening the connection between PTA and schools and local activities through PTA officers' OB meetings."

Nakagawa Union Neighborhood Associations
Masahiko Koizumi

☆"What was the reason?"
At the 70th anniversary of Okazu Elementary School (1991), he served as chairman of the PTA, and at the commemorative event at that time, I was very much taken care of by the local people, so I wanted to give back to the community.
In 1992, with the call of the principal at the time, an OB meeting of PTA officers (Yuzuriha no Kai) was launched.
I have been involved in the activities of Neighborhood Associations and the Neighborhood Associations, and have promoted the connection between PTA and community activities.

☆Promotion System (PTA, Children's Association)
The Yuzuriha no Kai, PTA, schools, Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations are working together.

☆"What did you do (what kind of action?")
Through the "Yuzuriha-no-kai", not only the current PTA officers and PTA officers of other schools, but also various people can connect with various people in the network of the person, and the leaders of local activities are born from among them. .
The activities of the association include participation in PTA summer festivals and school events, training, and travel events.

☆"What happened (the result, what has improved)?"
In addition to connecting with past PTA officers, it is now possible to connect with PTAs at junior high schools and other elementary schools, as well as various other people.

☆"What's going on after that (now, future challenges)?"
There are currently about 60 members of the Yuzuriha-no-kai and cooperate with current PTA activities and school events.

◆Q&A review at the Information Exchange Meeting (2017/01/26)◆
Q: In my place, the school districts of the Union Neighborhood Association do not match, so multiple Unions must be involved in one school.
How about in the Nakagawa district?
A: In the Nakagawa district, the school district does not match the area of the Union Neighborhood Association, but each elementary school, junior high school, and PTA have joined the Union Neighborhood Association.

Q: I think it is wonderful that PTA can participate in regular meetings of the Union Neighborhood Association and exchange information.
A: It has been held under this system for a long time. Regular meetings include local elementary and junior high schools and PTAs, so you can share local information and we are aware of the activities of the Union Neighborhood Association.

≪This is the point!≫

  • The formation of an OB meeting for PTA officers
  • Not only PTA officers, but also the network that person has, are expanding connections.

◇From the presenters (differences, such as this was good, etc.)◇
He usually says that he wants to be involved in local activities next to PTA activities.
The network of the person, as well as PTA officers, is very important and can broaden the connection to a wider range.
By always thinking about what the community can do for children and working on it, there is a real feeling that parents can be aware of the area.

◆From Utsumi Coordinator◆
I think that the reason for success is that we have a fairly wide network of individual members, centered on the Yuzuriha-no-kai, and that the thick people of the past are involved in developing it.
