The 13th Izumi Sagami Kite Flying Party will be held!
In order to wish for the healthy growth and good harvest of children, we will fly a large square kite during the Dango Festival. Please come and visit us.

Event Overview
Sagami kite is said to have 400 years of history in Izumi Ward. It is a traditional culture that can be fried in prayer for healthy growth and fertility of the five grains during the festival of Dango. This year, on May 5 (Thursday / holiday), the Sagami Kite Izumi Preservation Society will hold the "Izumi Sagami Kite Flying Party" in a rice field near Tenno Moriizumi Park. The kite with Japanese paper on the bamboo skeleton is characterized by giving a unique beam called Bien.
Along with the kite flying party, kites will be exhibited at the ward hall on the first floor of the Izumi Ward government office. What kind of kites do you want to fly this time? Please come and visit us!
