Hodogaya Historical Town Walk 2025-Open Helicopter Teiji-

Do you know that there are many historical and attractive buildings and archeological sites in the ward, such as Tokaido Hodogaya-juku, modern waterworks, factory ruins, and houses with Western-style buildings? Visit attractive historical spots and feel the local history, climate, and culture close to you.

There is no parking lot at each venue. Please use public transportation.
Guided tours are required in advance. Application has been closed.

Along with ukiyo-e paintings depicting the scenery of Hodogaya-juku, you will visit historical spots on the old Tokaido.

Tour the site of the factory that developed from the Meiji era to the Showa era while looking at old photographs.

Visit the Western-style and Western-style houses built in the early Showa period from Taisho.

Ikot House (37-1 Tsukimidai, Hodogaya-ku, Yokohama)

• There is no parking lot at the reception hall. Please use public transportation.
• If you use a wheelchair and need a parking lot, we will prepare it. Please contact us at the bottom of the page in advance.
• This event is held with the good intentions of the building owner. Please observe the manners in residential areas.
• Newspapers, television, etc. may be included. We will inform you before the start of the guided tour.
• The organizer will take a picture of the event on the day. Please note that it will be used on public relations, ward websites, etc.

During the event, a signboard will be installed at the tour spot! Let's take a walk freely with a town walk map♪

Historic buildings that have been used as water supply facilities in the past exist on and near the Nishiya Water Purification Plant. This precious building will be open to the public!

This exhibition will showcase the appeal of the house style “House with Western-style Building” built from Taisho to the early Showa era.

Photographs of historic buildings in Hodogaya (temple shrines, Machiya, etc.) and modern factories along the Katabira River that existed during the Meiji, Taisho and Showa eras will be exhibited!
Photographs of historic sites along the old Tokaido will also be exhibited.
