Vegetable development by elementary school students
Elementary school students in the city touch fresh vegetables through the cultivation and harvesting of vegetables, and distribute vegetable cultivation kits for the purpose of making local production for local consumption feel closer.
In fiscal 2022, 18 schools conducted vegetable cultivation.

Vegetable growth in the ward office square
In ward office, we raise vegetables by planters in ward office square (near the stairs on the Sotetsu line side) for the purpose of having visitors come to the agency feel closer to vegetable cultivation and have interest.
In fiscal 2022, we are cultivating eggplants, peppers, mini tomatoes, okra and blueberries.
In addition, we raise descendants of morning glory who went to space with Naoko Yamazaki (astronaut) in 2010 every year.
