Vegetable cultivation by elementary school students
We distribute vegetable upbringing kits for the purpose of having elementary school students in the city touch fresh vegetables through growing and harvesting vegetables and having local production for local consumption close to them.
In fiscal 2022, 18 schools have been cultivating vegetables.

Vegetable cultivation in front of the ward office square
At the ward office, planters are cultivating vegetables in front of the ward office (near the stairs on the Sotetsu Line) with the aim of having the next agency feel vegetable cultivation close to them and getting them interested.
In 2022, we are cultivating eggplants, peppers, mini tomatoes, okra and blueberries.
In addition, we raise the descendants of the morning glory who went to space with Naoko Yamazaki (Astronaut) every year in 2010.
