Self-financed construction of roads

When a person other than the road manager performs construction about the road, it must be approved by the road manager. (Article 24 of the Road Law)

•Decrease of sidewalks, L-shaped and curbs for vehicles
•Relocation or removal of car stoppers and tree-planting basins
•Relocation of curved mirrors, street trees, etc. (Telephone poles are licensed by Tokyo Electric Power Company)
•Decrease work for setting up designated roads
•Repair and restoration of damaged pavement
•Road maintenance associated with development and residential land development
•In addition, when it is necessary to change the road structure

○Application for approval of road construction, etc. (Attach the following materials attached, 2 copies each)
<attached documents>
•Guide map (a house map, etc. that shows the application site)
•Floor plan (construction site and enforcement details are shown in a way that shows the entire site)
•Vertical cross section
•Photographs of current status
•Specimens of structural drawing
•Copy of road ledger floor plan
•Copy of road ledger area map or road boundary survey map (available in Public Works Office)
•Copy of official map (not required because it is for reference only)

When making an application, please refer to the "Guide to Road Self-financing Construction".

After submitting the application form, an approval letter will be issued after a field survey by the road manager. After issuing the approval letter, registration form will be submitted and the construction will be carried out. Upon completion, submit a notification of completion (including guide map, construction and photographs during construction and completion) After the inspection by the road manager, a letter of acceptance is issued and it is completed.
