Yokohama National University (official abbreviation: Yokohama National University), the only university in Hodogaya Ward, and Hodogaya Ward signed an agreement on February 19, 2013 with the aim of promoting education and social contribution activities at universities in the region and resolving regional issues aimed at creating a safe, secure and vibrant city.

The conclusion ceremony of the cooperation agreement was held as follows.
