About Gayakko classroom, Gayakko expedition

Gayakko Expedition <Recruitment for 6 years has been closed>

This is an experiential learning program organized by Yokohama National University students. We offer farming experiences, accommodation experiences, games and recreation using university facilities with friends of different schools and grades.

Outline of the 2024 Gayakko Expedition
Schedule Saturday, 6/15, Sunday, 7/14, Friday, August 23-Saturday 24 ※Accommodation experience in the city, Saturday, 10/19, Saturday, 12/21, Saturday, 2/15, 2025
Time

June to July: From 11:00 to 16:00, August to February following: From 10:00 to 16:00 (excluding accommodation experience)

Contents

Yokohama National University students and elementary school students are divided into eight groups, and recreational activities such as moving games and crafts. Events such as camping (with accommodation), opening a store at the inhabitant of a ward festival, and an agricultural experience are also planned. The activities will be conducted 7 times with the same members.

Costs 7,000 yen (including insurance premiums)
Target / Capacity Elementary school 3rd to 6th graders living and studying in the city who can participate in all activities in principle / 80 (If there are many applicants, lottery) ※Priority is given to the first person
Application

The application for the 6th year has been closed. Thank you very much for your application.
The lottery results will be notified by e-mail by Thursday, May 2nd.

When you participate in the Gayakko Expedition, please attend a parent briefing.
Please join us on any of the following day. (Same content on both days)

Gayakko classroom

To the world of wonders with the teachers of Yokohama National University! ~

For elementary and junior high school students in the ward, a “Gayakko Classroom” is held by a teacher of Yokohama National University in the classroom of Yokohama National University. It fosters children's curiosity and inquisitiveness by communicating the wonders and fun of natural science to children.

Gayakko expedition

This is a variety of recreation activities planned and operated by Yokohama National University students.

It's the second time I met everyone. I wonder if I can expand my circle even a little.
August3rd activity day (2 days and 1 night accommodation experience)
Camping at Children's Nature Park! The rice we make is very delicious.
October4th activity day (Dogaya inhabitant of a ward festival)
We'll open a shop with everyone in the ward festival.
November5th activity day (Agricultural Experience)
The vegetables that I always eat are grown carefully by farmers.
What is the feeling of the soil? The baked food made by digging is very delicious!
December6th activity day (experience learning at Yokohama National University or local community)

7th activity day (Experience learning at Yokohama National University)
The last is an all-star parade with characters for one year!
