Gayakko Winter Vacation Classroom <Recruitment of participants in R6th year!>

For elementary and junior high school students in the city, a special class will be held by a teacher at Yokohama National University!

※※Please check before applying.※※
In the case of lottery, the winners will be announced on this website by [by Friday, November 29].
Winning will be announced in the form of publishing the "8-digit application number" to be e-mailed to the applicant, so be sure to write down the application number.
(If all members are elected, we will announce that fact.)

Let's sing a Christmas song with parents and children Let's sing songs related to winter and Christmas with parents and children and enjoy chorus while feeling overlapping voices. We start with children's songs and gradually repeat our voices, and ultimately aim for a simple chorus. Man's voice is also welcome! Saturday, December 21 13:30~15:00 30 people 1st to 6th graders

Making Christmas illuminations with LEDs

Learn about electricity while making Christmas illuminations using LEDs (light emitting diodes). It's very easy because the wiring is just plugged in! Let's make only one Christmas illumination in the world using LEDs of your favorite color!

Arithmetic/math calculation by programming By programming, computers can do boring tasks that humans are not good at without complaining tens of thousands of times. Gayakko Expedition <Recruitment for 6th year has been closed>

This is a hands-on learning program planned by students of Yokohama National University. With friends of different schools and grades, we conduct farming and lodging experiences, games and recreation using university facilities.

Schedule Saturday, June 15, Sunday, July 14, Friday, August 23-Saturday, 24 ※Accommodation experience in the city, Saturday, October 19, November 16, Saturday, December 21, Saturday, February 15, 2025
Time

June-July: From 11:00 to 16:00, August to the following February: 10:00 to 16:00 (excluding accommodation experience)

Contents

Students and elementary school students from Yokohama National University are divided into eight groups to perform recreation such as moving games and crafts. Events such as camping (with accommodation), opening a store at the inhabitant of a ward festival, and agricultural experience will also be held. The activities are performed 7 times in total with the same members.

Costs 7,000 yen (including insurance premiums)
Targets and Capacity 3rd to 6th graders who live and attend school in the city and can participate in all activities in principle / 80 people (lottery if there are many applicants) ※Priority is given to the first person
Application

Application for the 6th year has been closed. Thank you very much for your application.
We will notify you of the lottery results by email by Thursday, May 2.

Gayakko classroom

To the world of wonders with teachers at Yokohama National University! ~

For elementary and junior high school students in the city, a “gayakko classroom” is held by a teacher at Yokohama National University in a classroom at Yokohama National University. It fosters children's curiosity and inquisitiveness by communicating the wonders and fun of natural sciences to children.

This is a variety of recreation activities planned and operated by students of Yokohama National University.
